Greetings Cousins, old and new! Just got some time on the public library computer, while waiting to pick my dog up from the vet's. (Spaying. The dog, not me.) Just wanted to check in and see what was new. Love the Jersey pics - hope to see more! Hey, how about a Jersey photo calend r, color photos of important or interesting stuff from the island, to be sold at a fair price to interested PDA members ...?? Anyhow, I really miss being a regular part of the family genealogy snooping, and REALLY miss my email. (Sigh...) My hubby and I have had an exhausting but rewarding summer of packing mules for an outfitter in California's magnificent Sierra Nevada Mount ins. The season ends with the month of September, the last trips being mainly deer camps. We plan to take a couple weeks R&R, then plan where and how to winter. Maybe Reno area, where Tye could hang up his Private Eye shingle again. Maybe another catt e ranch, where we can stay horseback, work our fannies off some more, and delay truly growing up just a little longer! Meanwhile, I miss all my old contacts, and hope all are doing well. Darn, I wish I could have gone to Jersey, too! I am looking for Poindexter's from Odon and Washington, Indiana. Also, Muncie and Terre Haute, Indiana. My mother's maiden name was Poindexter. Other surnames in this family are Christian, Krise, Knecht, Sears, Van Ransellar (or a variation thereof), Co bert, Laughlin and some others. Albert Poindexter's widow married a Sears and then Bloomington Nugent. I believe her name was Elizabeth. I have visited Indiana as recently as two weeks ago and have been to some of their graves, but have found little inf . Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
