pm, Family History Library, is open Tuesday - Saturday till
10:00 pm for the hard-core researcher.
1:00
- 4:00 pm, Gathering of the Family, make dinner plans, an
informal social and genealogy time to meet new family members
and catch up with old friends.
6:00 pm, Dinner,
join an early bird's family group for an informal Dutch treat
dinner at a local restaurant.

Thursday, July 10th
10:00 am - 2:00 pm, Reunion Registration and Information Table
open
10:00 am - 3:30 pm, Poindexter Family Room, open
12:00 - 2:00 pm, Family Research Mini Lectures. A veteran
Family History Library researcher who lives in the area will talk
about short cuts and tips for using the library while in Salt
Lake City and from afar when you return home. Other topics to
be announced.
2:00
- 3:00 pm, Tour of the LDS Family History Library, (pictured
at right) this is a guided walk-through to help you find your
way around the library when you do your research. The library
is located next door to the hotel. Visit Library's

3:30 - 5:30 pm, PDA Officers Board Meeting
6:00 - 7:30 pm, Dinner, informal Dutch treat gatherings
at local restaurants with fellow researchers, long lost relatives,
or any type of family group you choose.
8:00 - 9:30 pm, Tabernacal Choir Practice, attend the
weekly practice session, open to the public every Thursday evening.

Friday, July 11th
7:30 am - 2:00 pm, Reunion Registration and Information Table

8:00 am - 1:00 pm, Bus Tour and Lunch Buffet, visit Temple
Square, State Capital, This is the Place Monument and other local
landmarks.
9:00 am - 2:00 pm, Poindexter Family Room, open
2:00 - 6:00 pm, Family Research. Meet in the Poindexter
Family Room. Participants will pair up and research assigned "Poindexter
Family" topics at the Family History Library. This is it!
The Family History Library houses the largest collection of genealogical
research materials in the world. Here you can take a research
"trip" to county courthouses all over the U.S., or to
a foreign nation, with a minimum of expense and never leave the
country!
7:00 - 8:30 pm, Dinner, at The Lion House, (pictured at
right) the 1856 historic home of mormon leader Brigham Young located
next to his other home, the Beehive House. Today it hosts the
Pantry Restaurant and caters banquets, weddings and childrens'
birthday parties.

Saturday, July 12th
8:00 am - 2:00 pm, Reunion Registration and Information Table

8:00 - 12:00 am, Family Connection Time, choose one of
these or plan your own event:
- Poindexter Family Room
will be open for visiting with other attendees for the last
time. Be sure to retrieve your materials on display by 12 noon.
Family
Research at the Library, all Library resources will be available
for your personal research, with help if needed. Visit Library's

- Family Recreation Break, Utah's Hogel Zoo,
a great activity for those with kids and those who had enough
research for one week. Form car pools at the Registration Table.

- Make Up Your Own Family Adventure,
by visiting our "About the Area"
page or by contacting our host, Richard
Kajma or Salt Lake City's Visitor's
Bureau.
- Family R & R, pull up a chair,
rest and have some relaxing, informative, and fun conversations
with family members in the Poindexter Room at the hotel, go
for a swim, or take a nap before the afternoon activities begin.

12:00 - 1:00 pm, Lunch, on your own at a
local restaurant.
1:15 - 3:00 pm, Annual PDA Membership Meeting,
all members are asked to attend this business meeting.
3:00 - 4:00 pm, Research Report, groups will
report the results of their assigned research projects.
5:00 - 6:15 pm, Family Photo, everyone attending
the PDA Reunion is asked to be in this traditional group photo.
Posing costs nothing. Order forms will be available.
6:30 - 8:30 pm, Annual Dinner Banquet and Polynesian
Extravaganza, plus our
annual gift exchange. We suggest each member of your party brings
a gift so each receives a gift. Children are encouraged to participate
in this activity. Menu: to be announced.

Sunday, July 13th
9:00
-10:00 am,Tabernacal Choir, attend the weekly broadcast (pictured
at right) of the Choir that has been in existance since 1847.
"Music and the Spoken Word", featuring the Tabernacle
Choir, is the longest running radio broadcast in America. It has
been on the air since 1929, and it is carried on many radio and
television stations. Today, the Choir has 340 members, who come
from all walks of life and are unpaid volunteers. The choir has
performed in numerous countries and has released more than 150

10:30 am - 12 pm, Reunion Finale Breakfast, organize your
own brunch groups in the hotel restaurant, Dutch treat.
