Wednesday, June 21st

8:00 am: Registration Begins: in hotel lobby, check-in desk.

8:00 am - 5:00 pm: Family Room Opens: Informal social & genealogy time to meet new family members and catch up with old ones.

12: 00 Noon - 1:30 pm: Lunch, Dutch treat, at hotel restaurant or nearby restaurant.  

3:00 - 5:00 pm: PDA Executive Board of Directors Meeting, in hotel Board/Meeting Room.

5:00 - 6:00 pm: Free Time.

6:15 pm: Dinner – Dutch treat: Meet in hotel lobby at 6:15pm to carpool to a local restaurant, “Little Richard’s Barbeque”, for Hickory Smoked BBQ or North Carolina chicken.

There are two primary BBQ styles in North Carolina: Eastern (whole pig with a vinegar sauce) and Lexington (pork shoulder with a similar sauce that has a little ketchup mixed in). Little Richards mixes the two together.

8: 00 pm: Return to hotel.

8:15 pm - 9:15 pm: Poindexter Family History Presentation: A one hour presentation of “Poindexter’s Who Served Bravely in Many Wars”, by Randy G. Poindexter, who is known for his special historical accounts of the various wars, especially those in which Poindexter ancestors served. Presented by: Rick D. Poindexter and Richard C. Poindexter.
