Where the American Poindexter Family Began!Plan now to attend this year's Reunion hosted by the Poindexter Descendants Association. Our Poindexter immigrant came to the area of Middle Plantation (now known as Williamsburg) in 1657. He had a land grant in nearby Gloucester County, served on the first Vestry of Bruton Parish, built his timber and brick colonial era plantation home Criss Cross, and seeded the Poingdestre family of Jersey, Channel Islands, in America. Visit Colonial Williamsburg to learn and experience how our George might have lived, visit Bruton Parish church and take our bus tour to Criss Cross, St. Peter's Church (which he also helped found), visit other plantation homes. Explore the links to the left to learn more about what we have planned. More details on the bus tour, reunion registration, and other events and things to see with your family will be added here by February 1st and in the PDA newsletter delieved to members near the end of January.
